I think Senor Montalban could sell dirt to us and we would be happy.

This is a really effective ad. It makes me want to buy that car!

RIP Ricardo Montalban.

Chrysler’s brand of leather, made in New Jersey. It’s named after Corinth, Greece, but has nothing to do with the city.

I’m looking at buying one. A white two door with white on black interior, 68K miles, 440 4brl for only $1000.

actually the pentagon key was the ignition with the famous chrysler star in the middle-ford had the dual-face key since 1965
31 January, 2009 [1:31 am]
Yup, that’s how GM did it. Chrysler had the square key for ignition and doors, round for trunk as hypermite said, and Ford did it yet another way.

god that ad copy is great.

Rest in Peace, Ricardo Montalban.
5 February, 2009 [12:02 pm]
Hell yes!!! Absolutely.
6 February, 2009 [2:19 pm]
I guess I thought it was the same as my dad’s old Buicks…. the round key opened the doors and trunk, and the square key started the car.
9 February, 2009 [5:28 pm]
Not really. the same key opens doors & starts ignition, round key is for the trunk !

It was name Chrysler made up, but it sure sounds nice, doesn’t it?
Wikipedia says it was made in a plant in Newark.

WTF is Corinthian leather?

Star Trek’s KHAN

Oh also, if you notice right as the commercial starts, that was back in the day when you needed one key to unlock the door and another key to start the car!
17 February, 2009 [8:19 pm]
I actually can’t picture him driving anything else. It’s like the car with its spanish flair was made for him.
19 February, 2009 [2:25 am]
In 1975, that was a small car. Buicks and Cadilliacs could fit 8 adults back then…
21 February, 2009 [10:29 am]
I think Chrysler should come up with the Chrysler Montalban as a tribute to Ricardo himself with an interior in soft Coreenthian leather. Wouldn’t that be awesome?
23 February, 2009 [2:01 am]
It’s not small, it’s mid-size. RIP, buddy!
24 February, 2009 [10:30 am]
KHAAAAAN! KHAAAAAAN!!!
Rest in Peace, old friend.

I’m sad to hear about his death. I will allways remember him as Khan Noonien Singh, Prince of Orient.
